history of shirts for Students
2020
I raised $4,330 for my Eagle Scout project and provided over 200 new uniform shirts for the students of OLPH. Based on my pricing negotiations with the uniform supplier, I could also restock the school’s uniform supply closet. My work was covered on the local news (NCB5), which resulted in direct donations to OLPH.
2021
Because of the positive impact, I saw my Eagle Scout project make the summer prior, I decided to make the fundraiser, Shirts for Students, an annual endeavor. In 2021, I raised $3,200 and once again provided a new uniform shirt for every OLPH student. Coordinating with the administration enabled me to purchase the exact quantities needed in each size for every student. As a result, I could use excess funds to replenish the uniform supply closet.
2022
Last year’s fundraiser was the most successful yet, far exceeding my goal by raising $6,625. I expanded the project’s scope and was able to use the surplus funds to purchase basketball uniforms for the school’s team, give new PE uniforms to the 5th-8th graders (the first year the students had PE since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic), and also provided a standard uniform shirt to every single student.
